This is the first Tiger Ticket Drawing of 2025 since we had a snow day last Friday. We decided to go ahead and make it a big one too! Mrs. Bridwell was going to originally let us pick 5 students for a bracelet making class, but then she gave us permission to pull 10 names when she saw how full the tiger ticket box was getting. Great work to everyone for collecting tickets and congratulations to all! Thanks Mrs. Bridwell for hosting the drawing this week! You make this school so fun for our kids!

Have a great three day weekend!

Another day of twinning here at OAK.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) is geared towards ending blood cancers. Three students from GHS were selected to be 2025 Student Visionaries of the Year candidates, and they are working towards fundraising for a cure! They are mainly focusing on the research aspect of LLS! The research that goes into finding cures has been wildly successful, and they can't wait to raise funds. Their campaign runs from January 16th to March 8th, and they are so excited to help put an end to blood cancers! We at OAK Street have decided to help them in their fundraising efforts by hosting a Spirit Week next week. Your student can bring $1 a day to participate or make a flat donation for the entire week.

Behavior Rotation Stations today- Practicing and reviewing our Oak Street Tiger Traits

Welcome Back Tigers! Lots of great updates in the January 13-17 newsletter!

Goddard Public Schools Families,
Goddard Public Schools will not be in school on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, due to ongoing hazardous driving conditions.
City, County, and District crews are working tirelessly to clear roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks, and we offer our deepest appreciation to them for their dedicated efforts. Given the extent of snow/ice in neighborhoods across the District, additional time is needed to ensure a safe return to school.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

We had our weekly Tiger Ticket drawing a day early, so we wouldn't compete with the Christmas Party crowd on Friday. These five really showed their best tiger traits and earned at least one ticket in the past 4 days. They walked away with their own Nee Doh Nice Cube! If you know, you know. This is a very squishy square. Enjoy! Show those tiger traits even tomorrow students, because when we come back in January there is a drawing that day for Tiger Trait Tuesday! Let's finish strong!

Christmas caroling and cookie decorating at OAK Street today.

Ho! Ho! Ho!

As you can tell, this drawing was a little larger than most! A few months ago the Oak Street Lunch Ladies offered to host a cookie decorating class around the holidays. It started with 5 students and then quickly grew to 15! Next Thursday these students will have an hour to decorate holiday cookies. The ladies have three different stations planned, and are equally as excited about the class. At the end of the hour each student will walk away with their own box of delicious sugar cookies. A bid shout out of thanks to Carol, Marge, and Mai for their generosity, creativity and knowledge. What a fun experience.
Also thanks to all of our Oak Street students as well for using your best traits and for having a box full of tickets to draw from. Oak Street is simply the best! We love our school during the holidays!
