For our school nursing team we have the best! Nurse Gini is with us daily and shows patience, experience and knowledge. She is often joined by Nurse Cindy. Cindy brings endless assistance as well as lots of humor! We love this team and would like to thank them specifically on National School Nurse's Day! You ladies are unbeatable!
How are we already on the last Tiger Trait Tuesday of the school year? During this short month we will focus on Integrity. These students have already shown their traits and displayed integrity by doing the right thing to earn Tiger Tickets. These cuties have won an amazing Gratitude Journal with various creative activities that they can complete over the summer months. So fun and thoughtful for them to think about all the positives! We look forward to more winners this Friday!

Our very own Oak Street Elementary has received recognition from @PLTWorg as a 2023-24 Distinguished Launch School, which recognizes schools across the U.S. for their efforts to provide broad access to transformative learning experiences for students through PLTW Launch programs, an elementary STEM curriculum.
Talk about drawing the names of a crazy cool group that won the Tiger Ticket Drawing! We are proud of you for showing your traits. They are taking home a stem Explorers Brainometry kit. This is the perfect thing to do on a rainy day this Summer to keep your mind active!
Did you know May is National Speech Language Hearing Month? Did you know that Oak Street has two of the BEST Speech Pathologists on staff full time - Shannon Howe & Mira Mullen! We are so lucky to have these talented and dedicated ladies working with our students and staff each and everyday. Today they took time out of their day to pass these cute gifts out to each staff member while educating them about voice!
Mrs. Douglass’s class teamed up with the Goddard High School volleyball team this year to be pen pals. Today the girls came and surprised Mrs. Douglass’ class with snacks and a little meet and greet! Everyone had a fantastic time and it was hard to say goodbye!

The students and staff are very thankful for your positive energy, your helpful personality, and your knowledge.
