Twinning at Oak Street today.

Today is Kansas State High School Activities Association wear your stripes to work day. Oak Street's very own Nathan Lind has officiated Football at the High school and Collegiate level for the last 17 years and officiated Basketball at the High School level for 13 years. Thanks for all you do for the sports community, Coach Lind!!

This group was jumping with joy to be chosen as the Tiger Ticket prize winners for the week! This cool group won a stress ball that changes colors. They had to get them out of the bags right away and try them. Congratulations to each of you! Keep showing those tiger traits at school and at home. We hope to see you at Fall Fest!

Mrs. Moses' class received their first letters from their 5th grade pen pals!

Mrs. Moses' friends learned all about characters and setting with this fun Crankenstein craft!

Miss Saffell's kindergarten friends enjoyed the firefighter visit also.

PJ day in Mrs. Enegren's 1st grade classroom today.

Congratulations to our 24 students of the month who were nominated by Specials teachers as demonstrating the Tiger Traits of Kindness & Empathy beyond the classroom!

Happy Tiger Trait Tuesday! Here is our winning group for Tiger Trait Tuesday! This group was impressed with their prize of a color changing stress ball. Great work Tigers!

Happy Monday! We had our Tiger Ticket drawing at the end of the day Friday, but the bells and intercom were down. We decided to wait until Monday to announce the winners. These are the 5 lucky winners that were drawn. Each one earned a fun book full of Would You Rather questions! These are great for family game nights, car rides, or a sleepover. Enjoy and congratulations! Sorry we made you wait, but we hope it was worth it!

Tomorrow is Tiger Trait Tuesday!!! Show us your tiger stripes!! Wear your Oak Street shirt, along with your animal print to celebrate your tiger pride.

These two are feeling grand in green on this beautiful Monday! We love how Ms. Buresh and a 4th grade student are matching!

Oak Street Elementary Culture Committee decided to change one of our future jean weeks to help out our fellow Goddard educators at Successful Dreams (formally Lakeside). These are for the students, so they can give their best. Hope this helps just a little bit!!

Our sweet school looks so welcoming and charming because of the daily hard work that this group puts in. Oak Street would not be as well maintained if we didn't have such hard working building engineers, maintenance staff as well as grounds crew. Sometimes they are heroes that come in early or are here over the weekend making sure the building is ready for students first thing in the morning. They make the staff and students proud to call this their school. Thank you for all the effort and care you put into ensuring the oldest elementary in the district looks it best! We appreciate you today!

Just a little twinning at Oak Street today...

Today, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Millar's class played Rock, Paper, Scissors evolution during their morning meeting! A good time was had by all!!

Here's a few pictures from MonArt class on Monday.

Saturday, October 7th is the Fall Festival parade and Oak Street students love to throw candy as they walk. If you send a bag of candy in to the office, your student will be entered into a drawing for a chance to ride on the float!!
