Happy First Day from the First Grade Dream Team! We will be back this year with Motivational Monday features showing off our staff, so be ready every week! We are definitely starting out strong with this group! You only have one first day as a first grader, and this team wanted to greet them in colorful fashion! Thank you for pulling out all the stops to make the first day the best!

There are tables and tables of free books in the cafeteria. Many teachers cleaned out their libraries over the summer so please take what you want and enjoy.
We are ready for Open House/Back to School Night TONIGHT from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Open House is a “come and go” event where you will have the opportunity to meet your student’s teacher as well as meet other Oak Street staff throughout the building.
The PTO has again purchased shirts for each Oak Street student. Students will be able
to pick up their shirt during Open House in their homeroom class. In addition, bring your
camera as PTO has arranged for Sign Gypsies to have a display in the front of the building all day. They are already set up out front. This is a great opportunity to take all your back to school pictures.
Open House is a great time to bring your student’s backpack and supplies to the classroom. The office will also be available to receive any forms you still need to turn in for the school year (birth certificates, health records, physicals, proof of residency, etc.) and can also take payments for any school fees that still need to be paid. Nurse Gini will be available for those wishing to drop off medication that your student will need during the school day. Please ensure the proper medical forms have been filled out and accompany the medication when it is turned into the school office.
Teachers are in meeting today until 3:00 so to give them enough time to prepare, doors will not open until 4:30. We look forward to meeting our new kiddos and seeing our returning familiar faces.

TOMORROW is the 2024 Backpack-to-School event from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Pathway Church in Goddard. It is a first come/ first serve event. If your family needs help with school supplies, the doors will open at 3:00 p.m.

Oak Street OPEN HOUSE is Thursday, August 8th from 4:30-6:30 PM. This is a come and go event where students can meet their teacher, drop off school supplies, pick up their school shirt from PTO and visit with staff throughout the building. We can't wait to see you!!!
