TUESDAY, November 5th is Tiger Trait Tuesday. Show us your tiger stripes. Wear your Oak Street shirt, along with your animal print to celebrate your tiger pride!!

Octo-bear in 1st grade today.

The senior class at Goddard High School is having their annual Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 on Thursday, October 31, in the northwest area of the parking lot. Due to the Eisenhower football game that evening, they will be blocking off an area for the Trunk or Treat and for parent Trunk or Treat parking in the northwest corner of the parking lot.

Mrs. Mai and her daughter were sweet enough to join us on this windy Motivational Monday. They want us to remember to always Be Kind! You never know the day someone could be in the middle of, and they could appreciate a positive smile or greeting. Mrs. Mia does this beautifully for our friends in the lunchroom, and we appreciate how she can be cool, collected and kind at all times. Thanks ladies for the adorable mother/ daughter Motivational Monday picture.

What's better than matching with a friend? Matching with 2. Tripling for the win!!

The kids have worked so hard and saved their tickets for 7 days hoping to win What's in Ned's Head. They go bananas over this game and really have used some of their best Tiger Traits to earn tickets. There was a full box of tickets to draw from, and we love to see that at Oak Street! Congratulations to all!

November 27th is Occupational Therapist Day. We did not want the date to pass without a shout out of thanks to our own Brandee Young for all that she does for our Oak Street students. She has amazing knowledge that she shares with staff daily. Thank you for being part of our family, and helping making each student as successful as possible!

Rep’n the Chiefs!

Welcome back to Motivational Monday. This week we feature 1st grade teacher, Ms. Burr. She feels "it is important to greet every student and staff member with a smile and a warm greeting to make sure they know that they are loved and welcome in this space." And just like her shirt says, Ms. Burr is happy to see all of her kids' faces every day!!

Lot's of great updates!
Looking forward to seeing you at Conferences!

We had our first session of Donuts with Dear Ones this morning, and we loved seeing all the smiling faces. Another happy face we caught in the hallway is Mrs. Wolff, one of our Title Reading Teachers. She is wearing a great shirt today for Motivational Monday. It states You Are Kind, Brave, Smart, Helpful, Grateful, Enough, Strong, Unique and Loved! She wants our Oak Street students to know this about themselves. What a powerful reminder for students and staff! Have an amazing day, and we hope to see the other half of our Oak Street family tomorrow at Donuts for Dear Ones.
