February's Tiger Trait is Honesty

For elementary students, honesty can be seen in several key behaviors:

  • Telling the Truth: A child admits they broke a rule, like coloring on the wall, even if they're scared of getting in trouble.

  • Owning Up to Mistakes: When a student accidentally bumps into a friend and knocks over their books, they don't blame someone else. They say, "I'm sorry, that was my fault," and help clean up.

  • Returning What Isn't Theirs: If a child finds a pencil or a toy that belongs to a classmate, they return it instead of keeping it. This shows integrity and respect for others' property.

  • Following Rules Even When Unwatched: A child plays a game fairly, even when no one is watching them, by not cheating or bending the rules to their advantage. This demonstrates they value fairness and have a strong internal compass.
