Happy Wednesday morning! We got busy with the day yesterday and ran out of time for our Tuesday Tiger Ticket Drawing. The kids didn't let us forget though, so we were on it first thing. This amazing group earned tickets by showing their traits already this week and won the sweet mini Oak Street stuffed tiger that can hang from about anywhere. Enjoy and congratulations!

We still need candy for the parade this weekend!!! We usually have twice this much. This may look like a lot but we need candy for the entire community!! All of the kiddos that ride on the float and walk beside the float can toss candy.
First grade had a few special visitors yesterday to celebrate the start of Fire Safety week! Thank you, Mr. Enegren and Mr. Gavin for sharing your knowledge with us! 🚒

Good thing it is still warm out there, because this group is ready to use the water balloon launchers that they just won. This was another "hot" prize and this lucky group did an amazing job earning tiger tickets all week long to become winners. Congratulations to all!

Did you know that our teachers enjoy having a bit of fun here at Oak Street? We have a Culture Committee that tries to be creative and bring a smile/treat to the staff to acknowledge their hard work throughout the school days.
We started with a coffee bar on Monday morning this week to celebrate National Coffee Day. It was a delicious treat! We would love to share that we had arranged with the Goddard Starbucks (before they found out about the sad closing) to provide free coffee for the teachers. Even though they closed the weekend before, the manager was so kind and made sure to deliver coffee/creamer from another store. They were definitely looking out for our teachers. We appreciate the thoughtfulness.
We are able to give shout outs to staff members for good things that are witnessed throughout each week. 58 were sent in through September, so we had a drawing for two fun checkered lanyards. Emma Nelson and Hallie Rausch were the winners. Congratulations ladies!

Just a preview of some of our Raffle Baskets available tomorrow night at Oak Street Elementary's annual Family Fun Night. Raffle tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. This event is open to the public. Baskets will be displayed in the gym. The winners will be drawn at 7:15 and you do not need to be present to win.
